Membership Categories

There are two categories of OMTP membership – Member and Participant. Participant members may choose to be either Advisor or Sponsor level membership, in effect creating three tiers of OMTP membership. Each tier confers different benefits.

Mobile Operators

Mobile Operators are eligible to join as full Members or Participants (Sponsors, Advisors). Mobile Operators joining as Members are entitled to attend Members’ Meetings, put forward candidates to stand for election as Directors, and are eligible to participate in the working groups.

Sponsors

Sponsors will be able to participate in the working groups and will be named in relevant press releases, on the website etc. This level of participation excludes representation in the Members’ Meetings (including nomination of or voting on Directors), but does include the right to nominate or vote for places on the Terminal Platform Committee (TPC-V). This allows such entities to play an active role in the management of OMTP and full visibility of all its activities. It is expected that key industry partners would wish to participate as Sponsors so as to have the strongest level of commitment to the initiative.

Advisors

Advisors have similar rights to Sponsors, but pay a lower fee and, as a result, have less public visibility. Advisors will not be included in general press releases and therefore do not receive an equivalent profile to Sponsors in external OMTP communications. Furthermore, whilst still being entitled to participate in working groups, Advisors do not have the right to nominate or vote for places on the Terminal Platform Committee (TPC-V).

Affiliates

The affiliate level was introduced at the end of 2009 to encourage the involvement of a larger group of companies who are not directly involved in the day to day activities of OMTP, but want to keep in touch with and learn about ongoing activities. Affiliates get newsletters and have webinars to keep them in touch with OMTP and BONDI work. Affiliates may use the OMTP and BONDI logos in their marketing material and the affiliate company logo is shown on the OMTP web site. To join as an affiliate, click here and complete the form. You make your payment via Credit or Debit card.
